Every year CNN IBN honors distinguished Indians in various fields of expertise with the Indian of the Year Award. This year, under the entertainment category, director Shankar has been selected for the CNN IBN’s Indian of the Year Award 2010.

Shankar recently tasted mega success with the Rajinikanth starrer Endhiran which apparently played a pivotal role in being selected for the award.

This award will be handed to Shankar in a grand function that is to be held on December 22nd 2010.

He has been selected for this award based on the popular opinion by people through SMSes and the decision of the judges’ panel

I am an ardent fan of Shankar not the actor or actress. If anyone ask me who is your favorite actor/actress my answer would be shankar the director, because all his movies are giving a message and the way he directs makes his audience to like the movie. Anyone can act in the film with skills but the direction is mandatory for the movie to be a talk of the town or to hit.If you take the film Jeans, Actor, Prasanth was well known to everyone after the film released and his skills were exposed in that film.You could separate his life by segregating Before and After the film Jeans.

How many of you would have been known about the world wonders before the release of the film Jeans. He (Shankar) revealed all the wonders by his stunning photography of the song Poovukul Olinthirukkum..and make all indians to known that Taj Mahal also one of the seven wonders in the world. I could continue about his laurels but the page is not enough for me to do.

A.R.Rahman, Harris Jayaraj are also my favorite composers in Musics.Most of the films are hit the screen only by the songs, you could find them in few Harris Jayaraj films. I think you knew that..yaa that's it.you are correct.
